Manufacturers Association of Florida 2012 Summit

(www.polygonsolutions.com), and Betsy Allen, President & CEO of SRMA, presented during the Early Bird Workforce Session of the 9th Annual MAF Summit & Marketplace event in Orlando, December 6-7, 2012. Peter’s innovative Dream It! Do It! event held at his adopted virtual school on Manufacturing Day, October 5, 2012 inspired young people to consider manufacturing as a career choice. The Dream It! Do It! platform is a model to help other companies get involved with encouraging young people to prepare themselves for rewarding careers in manufacturing.
Day 1 of the 2012 Manufacturer’s Association of Florida Summit & Marketplace event started off with opening remarks by Governor Rick Scott. The governor set an enthusiastic tone for the meeting, and the following discussion and agenda were well supported. The state of Florida has a multitude of resources for manufacturers to help recruit, train and maintain a skilled and credentialed manufacturing workforce.
